Scientific Research

The refuge is a living laboratory for research. We have partnered with many Universities and private non-profit organizations to conduct needed research on the refuge. One of the best examples, is the orchid research conducted by the University of Florida and Illinois College. This research has lead to numerous scientific discoveries, that has given land managers needed information to restore orchid populations in Southwest Florida.

What other concerns do you have, that we might be able to answer with scientific research?
